Vinous 94
Medium red, a bit less saturated than the Combe d’Orveau Ultra. Brooding, highly complex aromas of black cherry, blackberry, tea leaf, game bird and leather. Dense and very intense, with terrific medicinal reserve to the opulent flavors of dark cherry, dark berries and menthol. Can’t match the Combe d’Orveau for sheer perfume but this gripping wine shows outstanding finesse of texture for Nuits-Saint-Georges. Very long and very youthful on the back end.
