The 2017 Chambolle-Musigny Les Charmes 1er Cru, matured in 30% new oak, has quite a deep color. The bouquet is a little introverted at first, scents of black cherries, blueberry and pressed violets gradually unfolding in the glass. The palate is very well balanced and quite intense, offering mineral-rich black cherry and blueberry fruit, then easing down the gears toward the elegant finish. Superb. [Neal Martin, 01/10/2019]

There are fully thirteen barrels of the superb 2017 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Charmes, a promising wine that reveals attractive aromas of red cherries, wild berries, dried roses, sweet spices and dark chocolate.
