Vinous 92
The 2019 Clos Vougeot Grand Cru shows an attractive bouquet of tertiary red fruit and a faint whiff of freshly-rolled tobacco. The palate is medium-bodied, elegant and understated, with pliant tannins and a pure finish that has just the right amount of bitterness. This doesn’t share the length of the Méo-Camuzet, but it’s a “grower”. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.
