Newfound Wines is a manifestation of a shared passion for wine and discovery between Matt and Audra Naumann—wine industry veterans and an agriculturally-motivated family. In 2016 they founded a 40 acre ranch, vineyard and winery in California’s Sierra Foothills to realize their dream of becoming first generation grape growers and independent wine producers. ‘Gravels’ blends Grenache and Carignan and is what the winemakers call their 'every day' bottling.
Flavors of red cherry, raspberry, savory herbs, roses/violets, red plum, and a touch of cedar. The palate is linear and assertive with distinct tannin yet elegant framework. Gorgeous balance of red fruit and savory herbal essence.
